My vision for Mountain House comes from a simple idea: I want our community to feel like Grandma's house — a place where people feel safe, where neighbors know one another, where children can dream, and where families know they belong.

That vision did not come from politics. It came from my life. As a little girl I experienced hardship, uncertainty, and also extraordinary kindness. A grandmother, neighbors, teachers, friends and family members each showed me that ordinary acts of kindness can shape an entire life. I learned that one caring adult, one open door, or one person willing to believe in you can change the direction of a life.

Those lessons are the foundation of how I lead: listen first, make room at the table, tell the truth with compassion, and never forget the human being behind every issue.

I have also learned that strong communities do not avoid difficult conversations. After the killing of George Floyd, Mountain House chose to come together. Thousands of residents joined our Community Unity Walk because we believed every voice should matter and every person should be treated with dignity and respect.

When our community lost Major Manning to fentanyl, Mountain House surrounded the Manning family with love. Their pain became a mission to educate others and save lives. That experience reminded us that even in tragedy, hope can grow when people refuse to let one another stand alone.

These moments taught me something I will never forget: community is a choice. Every day we choose whether to care, whether to listen, whether to help, and whether to leave the light on for someone else.

My commitment is simple: to lead with compassion, serve with integrity, listen with humility, advocate for the resources our community needs, and help build a Mountain House that feels like home.

I am not asking you to vote for perfection. I am asking you to vote for the kind of community we can continue building together — a community that feels like Grandma's house, where the door is open and the light is always on.

Community is a choice. Every day we choose whether to care, whether to listen, and whether to leave the light on for someone else.
